The 21st Tallinn Design Festival brings a week of exhibitions, shows and meetings to the city. This week you will find us in three places: the Põhjala factory, Rotermann, and our own studio in Telliskivi Creative City. Here is the full list, with times and the links for booking a ticket or a seat.
Monday 28.09, 8 pm · DOM – Design Is in Fashion · Põhjala factory
Stella Soomlais is one of four brands on stage that evening in Hangar 2-3 of the Põhjala factory, alongside our friends Mekoome, Kairi Getman and Hannes Rüütel. The lead role goes to our studio's icon, the Mild Librarian. Tickets are on Fienta.
The same evening, 5.45 pm · The BRUNO 2026 exhibition opens
Our cellulose-fibre tote is a candidate for the Estonian product design award BRUNO 2026 in the lifestyle category. The jury announces its results on Friday, 2 October at the Estonian Design Awards gala. Until then there is a public vote: click the photo on Facebook and give it a LIKE if the product speaks to you.
Tuesday 29.09, 6–8 pm · The reed façade: meet the architect · at our studio
The new wing of Telliskivi Creative City has a façade made of reed – one of the oldest building materials in Estonia, in a new form. The project's architect Margit Aule (LUMIA) and Telliskivi Creative City talk about why reed, what sun and weather will do to it over the decades, and what building such a façade actually took.
There are up to 40 places, so please register in advance. The evening is held in Estonian.
Wednesday 30.09, 6 pm · Anu Samarüütel × Stella Soomlais · at our studio
Artist Anu Samarüütel's hand meets the leatherwork of the studio: bags, wrist straps and coasters in very limited numbers, every piece one of a kind. At the launch you can see the collection, hold it, and take a piece home if you wish.

Thursday 1.10 · A conversation: what makes a product valuable? · Tallinn Design House
Stella joins Sofia Hallik and Cärol Ott in an open conversation on the future of product design: longevity, material awareness, repairability. It takes place at Tallinn Design House, Rotermanni 14. The event is free, but registration is required.
Saturday–Sunday 3.–4.10 · Design Street · Põhjala factory
On the festival weekend, Hangar 2-3 turns into a design market. The DOM brands share an area there, and we are part of it. Open Saturday 11–20 and Sunday 11–18, free entry.

Our studio and shop are at Telliskivi 60A/5, Tallinn — that is where the reed façade evening and the Anu Samarüütel launch take place. The DOM show and Design Street are in Hangar 2-3 of the Põhjala factory, and the conversation is at Tallinn Design House, Rotermanni 14.
