Frequently Asked Questions
Where are the bags made?
All our bags are handmade in our studio in Tallinn, Estonia.
What materials do you use?
We use natural full-grain leather sourced from responsible tanneries, as well as upcycled leather from deadstock and vintage materials. All hardware is solid brass or stainless steel.
How long does it take to make a bag?
Each bag is made to order. Production takes 4–12 weeks depending on the current workload and the complexity of the design.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Delivery time after dispatch is approximately 1–2 weeks for most destinations.
How do I care for my leather bag?
We recommend using a natural leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep the bag away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and moisture. If the bag gets wet, let it dry naturally at room temperature — never use a heat source. For bags that have been in use for a longer time, a deeper conditioning treatment may be beneficial.
Can I return or exchange a bag?
As all our bags are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item is defective. In the event of a defect, you are entitled to a repair or replacement in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes. We repair Stella Soomlais bags as well as bags from other makers. Contact us with photos of the damage and we will provide a quote.
Can I customise a bag?
Yes, we offer customisation on many of our designs — including choice of leather colour, lining, and hardware finish. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer corporate or bulk orders?
Yes. We work with companies on custom leather gifts and branded accessories. Please contact us for more information.
