On Wednesday 30 September at 6 pm the Stella Soomlais studio in Telliskivi opens its doors to present a new collaboration with artist Anu Samarüütel. The evening is part of the XXI Disainiöö satellite programme.
Anu Samarüütel is an artist and fashion designer who studied at Central Saint Martins in London. Her work is marked by simple forms, symbols and motifs from Estonia's wild nature.
In this collection Anu's hand meets the leather work made in the studio: clear fields of colour, sprayed edges and symbols carried straight onto the leather.
The bags, cuffs and coasters have been made in very small numbers. Every piece is one of a kind – there will be no other exactly like it.
