A great team event is made up of many good activities. One element that gives the day substance and stays in memory is making something with your own hands together with friends and colleagues — a hands-on crafting workshop.
And when that workshop ends with everyone taking home a leather piece they made themselves, the memory is tangible.
Why a leather workshop works for teams
- Everyone makes something real. You leave with a physical object — a wristband, key holder or card holder — not an abstract „experience“.
- No prior skill needed. The workshop is built so that even a first-timer manages and feels proud of the result.
- Works for mixed groups. Calm but hands-on — both the crafty types and those who think they aren’t can take part.
- Creates a shared rhythm. Craft gets people sitting side by side and talking in a way passive entertainment doesn’t.
How the workshop works

The workshop usually lasts 1.5–2 hours. We start with a short introduction — looking at different leathers and talking about the material’s qualities. Then it’s hands-on.
Everyone makes their own piece: a wristband, key holder, card holder or even a whip. If you like, we personalise it with blind-embossed initials, words or icons. For special requests we can agree on a new design together.
Two options: our studio or your venue
- At our studio in Telliskivi. Come to the Stella Soomlais leather studio in Tallinn — an inspiring space with all the tools on hand.
- At your event. We bring the workshop to you — to company summer events, team days or conferences. We set up our own stand with tools and materials, and your people make their pieces right there. We come to Tallinn and elsewhere in Estonia.
The second option suits summer events especially well: it adds one meaningful, hands-on moment to a busy programme without you having to reshape the day.
What group size does it suit?
The workshop suits both small teams and larger groups. With a smaller group the pace is more personal; for larger groups we agree on the format and number of instructors so everyone gets their piece finished.
